A variety of inserts have been made that will adapt Vicmarc Chucks to most lathes on the market.
All left hand, left hand/right hand, Geiger, M30x3.5, M33x3.5 and 1 1/4"x8 inserts come with a set screw locking facility to prevent the insert unscrewing itself from the Chuck whilst turning outboard.
Note: When mounting insert onto the Chuck, ensure that the set screw is not protruding past the insert face. Tighten the insert against the chuck face then tighten the set screw. Set screws only on some inserts.

I needed a different chuck insert to adapt a Vicmarc 100 chuck to a lathe which had a 1 1/4”-8tpi headstock. Luckily I could simply order a additional insert and quickly convert the chuck to my new VL240 lathe! the insert works great as expected and one thing to note is I really like the location and operation of the insert locking screw which is such that it does not hard the headstock threads but rather tightens onto the chuck itself, which in my opinion is a much better idea.
From the time that I enquired about the chuck and my need to fit it to a Record Power Coronet No. 3 lathe (about which I had no operator manual) the service was exceptional. I sent photos of the chuck, VicMarc knew exactly what I needed, it was the correct part, delivered in the timeframe they promised.
After hunting around, looking for the right insert, I was directed to Vicmarc and am very happy I found you.
The insert fits both my chuck and lathe perfectly.
