The VM90 Chuck is for those who prefer to operate the chuck using the quick- acting Tommy Bars (levers), which saves time when mounting and dismounting. The VM90's compact size makes it ideal for use on 300mm (12in) capacity lathes or smaller and is ideal for use with the Vicmarc Bowl Jaws. On a lathe with a spindle lock only one Tommy bar needs to be used to close the jaws by pushing the bar away from the operator.

      Chuck upgrades!

vm90 w/shark jaws on 80's Craftsman 12" lathe. So far I am pleased with the purchase of the new chuck along with the small shark jaws. I'll be adding this tool of my existing Nova and vm100 chucks. Decided to take the advice of some of the more experienced turners from YouTube and added additional chucks for the turning I currently attempt. The idea of mutiple chucks makes sense as changing turnings on a single chuck I was never able to get the wood turning quite back to true.
